Aging Organizations


AARP is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to addressing the needs and interests of persons 50 and older. This site provides useful information and resources on topics such as health and wellness, economic security and work, long-term care and independent living, and lastly personal enrichment.

California Department of Aging

The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities throughout the State.

Redwood Caregiver Resource Center

Redwood CRC is part of a statewide system of eleven nonprofit Caregiver Resource Centers (CRCs) offering support and assistance to caregivers of adults.  All services are free or low cost.

Sonoma County Council on Aging

The Council on Aging is a private non-profit organization which provides information and services for seniors age 60+ in Sonoma County.

Sonoma County Adult and Aging Division

The Adult and Aging Division administers the county’s government programs and services for older adults and their caregivers. It includes Adult Protective Services, In-Home Supportive Services, and much more.

Arthritis Foundation

American Cancer Society

The Society provides information on all aspects of cancer through a toll-free information line, web site, and published materials.

American Diabetes Association

Site contains basic information on diabetes and healthy living advice and tips.

American Psychological Association

Site contains a Help Center that provides consumer information on mental health issues and concerns.

Consumer information for stroke prevention and care of someone following a stroke.

National Kidney Foundation
